Who is Joe Weider?

Joe Weider and his Brother Ben were a couple of Montreal (Canada) kids who, tired of being picked on by bullies, answered one of Charles Atlas' ads in a comic book. This was to be the start of a long and remarkable career in professional bodybuilding. Everything from competitions, to magazines, to nutritional supplements, and of course, fitness equipment eventually sported the Weider name. Joe Weider created the famous Mr. Olympia competition, and the Bodybuilding Hall of Fame. The Weiders are also the ones responsible for bringing Arnold Schwarzenegger to America. Joe Weider and Bill Reynold also wrote the best-selling books; Joe Weider's Ultimate Bodybuilding : The Master Blaster's Principles of Training and Nutrition, The Weider System of Bodybuilding
